Mental Health and Wellbeing at Holywell

Our Vision

Our vision is to develop a school community where children can enjoy a welcoming, secure, happy and healthy environment, where all members can develop their ability to be Ready, Responsible, Respectful and Resilient.

At Holywell Primary School we support the emotional health and wellbeing of our pupils, parents and staff. We have a supportive and caring ethos model of respect and kindness, where each individual is valued.

We promote a mentally healthy environment through:

  • Promoting pupil voice and opportunities to participate in decision-making

  • Celebrating academic and non-academic achievements

  • Providing opportunities to develop a sense of worth through taking responsibility for themselves and others

Mental health concerns

For children

We value the support of parents and carers by working in partnership with them to support the children.  Any parents with a concern around their child's mental health should contact the pastoral team to discuss ways we can work together to support the child.

For parents and carers

Any parents with mental health concerns for themselves are most welcome to discuss this with the pastoral team in confidence.  They can then signpost to support agencies and offer practical advice in the short term.

For staff

Any member of staff can speak with a member of the senior leadership for support and signposting.  Alternatively, anyone working within schools can contact the Educational Support Partnership on https://www.educationsupport.org.uk/
